Expert Tow Truck Operators You Can Rely On

What accident towing fees should I expect?

Towing costs following an accident depend on the kind of vehicle that needs to be towed and how far you need it taken. Expect it to cost between $150 and $350, keeping in mind every situation will differ slightly.

If you've been in an accident, the last thing you want to worry about is the cost of towing. That's why most towing companies will offer a price calculator to help you get a bit more certainty.

What happens when my car is towed after an accident?

Wondering where your vehicle will be towed after an accident? A vehicle damaged in an accident needs to be relocated so that it doesn’t risk the health and safety of other drivers.

When a tow truck driver arrives at the location of your accident, they will move your vehicle to a place of your choosing, typically a smash repairer or to a holding yard. However, the choice is up to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far can you tow my vehicle after a motor vehicle accident or car crash?

We provide towing for almost any distance after an accident. Let our team know the location of your preferred repairer and we can give you a quote on getting it back to our tow yard.

What is your capacity for accident towing?

We can tow all classes of vehicles and we have tow truck capacity of up to 10 tonnes.

Having any of your vehicles, equipment or your car towed by our team is easily done.

We offer a fast and efficient service to get you out of harm’s way during an emergency situation.

Do I have to use the first tow truck at the accident scene?

No, in the case of a road accident you have the right to use your preferred tow truck provider.

You can just call NRC Group and we will be there swiftly to tow your vehicle to your preferred repairer.

Does car insurance cover towing after an accident?

If you have liability-only insurance, you should not expect your plan to cover the cost of a tow truck driver and other towing expenses. You will need to pay for towing costs upfront. If another driver was responsible for the accident, their insurance may cover damages to your car and towing costs.

Who pays for towing and storage after an accident?

In general, if you were the cause of the accident, then towing and storage fees will be your responsibility. However, if the other driver caused the accident, then they (or their insurance company) is responsible for paying for the storage fees.
